i often miss my childhood, i tend to dwell on the past a bit or wallow in my adult misery. okay "adult misery" sounded pretty bad, NOT that being an adult is horrible! i love my family and i do very much love being a mom. STILL, i like to reminisce probably too much. digging through a box of old photographs is so much fun to me, (always sure to keep a tissue box handy, tears will be flowing at some point!) lol.


My name (julie) actually means "youthful, young at heart" which makes sense. i don't think i'll ever really feel old, i still feel like a kid in an adult's body and i'm okay with that. ;-)


i always found it fascinating how you can cram so much STUFF into a decade. why do years so easily break off into 10's? we do it to ourselves i'm sure, and we always seem to fancy our personal "hay days". that's when many of us had a lot of fun, those are the years that made us who we are today. so looking back and reminiscing is a gift really. we often even compare, "well, back when i was a youngin' we played outside, kill your tv!", "back in my day we had to actually talk to one another in person, none of this texting BS!" lol. you get the point. :)


well back in my day...i have many memories of so many things! when looking for pictures for this post i kinda went a lil crazy, there was SOOOO MUCH awesome everything!! i didn't want to make my list forever long but i do apologize, i had a hard time shortening it. i've seen other blogs/articles on the web doing the whole nostalgia deal as well. but gaasshhh darn it i wanted to make my own, with all the things i personally experienced and held dear!! that said let me just tell you, i went through some weird stages. for example, i was obsessed with elvis presley for a good while, then later in my teen years; jim morrison & others. BUT none of that will be included here, i trimmed it down to only include goodies from the 80's & 90's.


i set it up like a timeline through my years, starting from 80's child to 90's teen. :)

alrighty then! i am DOOONNNE, phew. even know i sit here almost completely finished w/ my post, i am STILL thinking of all the things i left out... :( the list i started with quickly dwindled when i realized it was just ridiculously excessive. anyways~ i hope you enjoyed all the memories and flashbacks i did include, i know i have! i'm a nostalgic person for sure and like i said earlier, i love looking back & re-living all the fun stuff of my past. i still have some of them old memories hanging around, have i mentioned i'm also a pack rat?! yep...i am.
